Some weddings feel like a dream. Ruth and Itai’s celebration, held on a golden spring afternoon in Toronto, was one of those weddings — soft, vibrant, and completely filled with love. And for us, as floral designers, it was an absolute joy to bring their vision to life with our signature wedding flower arrangements in Toronto.
The couple, both deeply connected to their Jewish heritage, wanted their wedding to reflect timeless tradition with a modern twist. Their request was clear: elegance, intimacy, and lots (and lots!) of flowers.
From the very first meeting, Ruth shared her love for wild garden blooms — delicate, whimsical, and full of texture. Itai, on the other hand, had a deep appreciation for color harmony and structure. Together, they inspired us to create a design story that combined the softness of an English garden with the intentionality of modern aesthetics.
A Ceremony Wrapped in Blooms
The ceremony took place outdoors under a custom-built chuppah, wrapped in cascading flowers in soft blush, peach, ivory, and hints of dusty lavender. We used locally sourced ranunculus, lisianthus, and garden roses, alongside seasonal greenery, to create a canopy of romance. The moment Ruth walked down the aisle, framed by that floral dream, there wasn’t a dry eye in sight.
It was more than a wedding flower arrangement — it was a floral embrace.
A Reception Full of Personality
Inside the reception hall, we continued the story. Each table centerpiece was slightly unique, echoing the idea that every guest was a meaningful part of Ruth and Itai’s life. Candles flickered among loosely arranged florals in ceramic vessels, adding a magical glow to the evening. We even dressed the cake table and sweetheart chairs with flower garlands to bring cohesion and charm.
Every design decision was made with love, attention, and the couple’s personality at the forefront.
Jewish Tradition Meets Modern Style
One of our favorite parts of designing flower arrangements for Jewish weddings in Toronto is incorporating meaningful traditions. For Ruth and Itai, we added olive branches to symbolize peace and longevity, and included seven species-inspired touches (like figs and pomegranates) subtly within the florals — a nod to their roots, blooming in a modern setting.
